Survey Summary
I made a survey and posted it on the Gilman Recipient/Alumni Facebook page. I received 14 responses and these are the results:
3 respondents were semester long students and the rest were varied length summer students
Most respondents see themselves (or already have plans) on returning abroad long term
53% studied in a European country while the other 47% studied in non-traditional countries
8 respondents participated in enrichment programs while abroad such as tutoring and internships
9 respondents practiced or learned a language while abroad
13 of the respondents spent well over 10 hours applying for the scholarship
